WARNING! Beward of horse-purchase scams. Sellers are being contacted by long distance buyers (usually from foreign countries), and offered cashier's checks for as much as double the purchase price - then asked to refund the difference. The checks are fake, and are rejected by the bank. DO NOT sell your horse to someone, until you have investigated them thoroughly, preferably in person. And for goodness sakes, do not release a horse or other item into someone else's custody until the check has cleared!! Scam artists, leave us alone! Cinnabom 2 yr old, first day under saddleyears old

"COMES THE GLORY" Whom we call Cinnabom is a beautiful 16.1h (vet says he's still got room to grow) gelding. His dam is my best and favorite trail horse. He is sired by National Grand Champion "NOCTURNAL FLASH" he was born in my barn and I was the first living creature he saw when his eyes opened. His head laid in my lap as I wiped him down and gave his momma a few minutes rest. Later he would sit in my lap while I set on the big ball. Oh and he loves to play kick the ball around the pen or pasture. :) He is a hoot! He loves people and wants to be with me and/or my wife when we're out there, cleaning pastures, barns working at something or tending to another horse. He is just so much fun.

Cinnabom has about 30 hours under saddle with rider. He nor any of my other 5 horses have ever had shoes on. He has beautiful healthy hoofs. Cinnabom has the potential with the right trainer/owner to be any discipline you need or want. He is a mover.

We are moving to central AZ. in April and have decided to part with up to two of my Morgan's. :( Asking price for Cinnabom is only $7500 and that is a bargain, obo from a caring loving animal person. Call today with any questions 270-243-0793 or e-mail me at: vknorris4 @ yahoo.com -- Ken Norris, Ledbetter,Ky. 42058 (for now) (03/03/10)

Barefoot horse for adoption -
MONTANA - Idol of Gold “aka Montana”
(owner wrote:) 12 Yr Bay TB Gelding. 16 hands. Nice looking, heavier boned – European bloodlines. Tattooe records indicate – European bloodlines and breeding for speed and turf racing. He used to have more whoa than go (probably why he never raced). He is about in the middle now.
Friendly, High play drive. LOVES to be doted on. Pick me kind of horse.

I have owned since 4 1/2. He is Sound, Clips, Cross Ties, Trailer Loads, bathes, Good for Shots & Veterinary care, dentistry and hoof care. He is quite a character and lots of fun.

Looking for confident natural horsemanship person (preferably a Parelli student who is NOT new to horses) who loves a horse with a high play drive and has a high play drive themselves. Someone who will not suppress his exuberant personality but not let him take over. He is fairly easy to work with as a whole and likes to please you. I have used him to teach some beginners on the ground, he is excellent and very attentive, but needs an experienced rider only. He is medium/high on=2 0the spirit level, but CAN have more whoa than go. I have traveled several clinics per year with him in the past (nothing in the past 4 years). Parelli wise, I have clinicked with Karen Rohlf, David Lichman, Gina Torrell & Sharon Lindy. I am able to travel with him by myself.

Has been my levels horse – Assessed L2 several years ago and working on L3. Stopped due to hoof rehab and house building. Hasn’t been regularly worked with for 3+ years so out of shape. His feet are in great condition now – and he is able to transverse over rocks though I have only just begun the process of conditioning him to do that regularly. Great at liberty in large arenas. He will develop a very strong connection with the right person. I trail rode him for 1 years at age 5-6 – he was great but can be spooky (ie- things coming out of the woods suddenly – animals in the distance, things running up on him from behind). Doesn’t mind bicycles, cars, trucks, motorcycles (ge nerally), schoolbuses, plastic bags.

Montana is a social butterfly. He loves other horses – he is very demonstrative in the beginning but gets along well. He is a dominant horse but not aggressive. He just gets along. He was a great “older brother” for my young horse – who had no social skills and was quite pesky. He supplied him with “leadership” and discipline but was not mean and would play with him. Free barefoot horse for adoption - BIG RED
BIG RED- 16.3 ~20yo Chestnut. Rides like a Saddlebred/WarmbloodX, rocking horse canter. Lovely whoa, cues, etc. Parelli level 1 on line. Dressage master but goes English/Western/Trail, neck reins, peppy but under control, listens well, comfortable ride. UTD on all.

A lovely kind man, beautiful mover. Really trained to the 9's, wants to work so bad! We don't have time to ride here, just rehab and find homes, but he is great on trail, english, western, and dressage. Comfortable and so sexy. :) Coppery coat, long thick tail.

Still recovering from this abcessing. He was sound, then we adopted him out and they really didn't take care of him well. He came back stone bruisied from being turned out on a broken up contrete driveway which his feet were not accustomed to. After that he started the abcessing, and have been on and off lame since.

We put a blanket on him since he likes to be outside rather then in his stall where he can't see anyone, and we've had freezing rain.

Contract states he cannot be sold, but returned to us if not wanted or he doesn't work out. No adoption fee required but we appreciate hay donations if you grow your own! :)

Red is fine with most things, shooting, trains, dirtbikes, we live in an active area as far as that goes.

Two ladies who didn't know much about horses ended up with Red before me, I suspect he had an old bowed tendon that ended his career. They didn't know what to do and were going to put him down so he didn't end up back at the meat market. Honestly at his age not to many people would take a chance on him. I contacted them and let them know he could come here and find a home possibly. Once we assessed his skills we were blown out of the water!

I would describe him as having "quirks" not vices. Weird little things in his personality. Occationally during naptime out in his paddock, he will squeel and kick out his back hoof, but no one is there threatening him and he has his own paddock and everyone is pretty much laying down in the sun so...? Maybe he was dreaming? LOL. That weird kicking out thing I really can't explain, it happens sporadically and we have tried to trigger it but nothing "sets" if off as we've seen.

He likes to eat out of a hay net, he likes grass, he will work and move out even if he is off or lame. He likes to put his head over your head then put his chin on your back and pull you toward him for a hug. Kind of needy so doesn't like to be alone. He doesn't like it when you spray water in his eyes or ears. Not the best about having the equine dentist out but not malicious just afraid. No bite kick buck rear if that is what you mean.

He is up to a great weight, sound, perky, trail riding and sound before he was adopted out from us the first time around. At that point he was eating just 2 quarts of Poulin 12:12 pellets 2X a day. We also have crappy expensive hay here so he only gets like 2-3 flakes of first cut. With a pasture he'd do so much better. Now I have him on a weight-gainer regimin which is 4 quarts of 12:12 grain, 1/2 cup of soybean oil, and supplements. He is gaining weight quickly.

His supplements are fat and joint/leg. Sometimes I will throw in a few herbals depending on the time of year. Currently we are using Cool Calories 100 from Poulin@ 2 scoops, and corta-flex powder, regular dose so it lasts forever. I make up baggies for a month at a time so whatever is left will go with him.

You can ride him on the halter but he is really impressive with a snaffle. Dressage and western impressive, as well as trail exploring. He'll really rake in the ribbons for someone willing!

Monday he ran around like an idiot when we left him alone and we had to walk him out with a cooler as he got all sweaty and wet with his winter coat plus blanket. Red will have his feet done again before he leaves, and be wormed. (02/19/10)

Amelie is a three year old Haflinger mare. She is in foal to a Haflinger stallion for 2010. She's approximately 14.2 hands - but she wears the same size tack and halter as my 16 hand horses! She came from a home where she lived out with a herd on 100 acres of fields, rocky creeks, and hills and was socialized but barely handled up until a few months ago. She now leads, ties, etc, and has been ridden a handful of times and her training will continue until sold. She is doing wonderfully under saddle and hasn't set a foot wrong. She loves people, and she is exceptionally quiet and sweet, and she has no "baggage!" She would make an excellent child's horse with a little more time and mileage as she's so quiet, slow, and sweet. She is not registered. She has big healthy hooves that have been left to their own devices until very recently. Asking $1,500 obo. Located near Cincinnati, Ohio. E-Mail flyingheartsfarm @ yahoo.com (01/13/10)

Con Brio is a five year old, 16 hand Trakehner/Oldenburg/TB gelding. He tore a tendon as a two year old, and because of this he available for free as a pasture buddy or light walking riding horse only. He is not broke to ride. He has good manners but is not for an inexperienced person as he still acts like a big two year old. He has a HUGE personality and he adores people - he loves being groomed and cuddled on. He would be a wonderful horse for someone interested in doing a lot of groundwork or Parelli type work as he truly enjoys learning new things. He is 100% sound and requires no maintainence for his old injury, I just don't know that he would ever hold up to regular work so I am looking for basically a non riding home for him (although some light walking shouldn't be a problem). Has been owned by a natural barefoot trimmer since birth and has healthy feet (although he frequently gets put on the back burner and they are a little flared due to infrequent trimming!) Free to a GOOD home. Located near Cincinnati, Ohio. E-Mail flyingheartsfarm @ yahoo.com (01/13/10)

Great 6 1/2 yr. old 1/2 registered arab/paint gelding for sale. Striking: Sorrel w/ flaxen mane & tail, back stocking, and blaze. Approx. 15.3 hands. Ridden English. Hunter/jumper, dressage or eventing potential. Trail ridden in halter. Does well in bitless bridle too! Healthy, sane, & sound. Very smart, sweet, and willing. Quick learner. W-T-C, started over jumps. Easy keeper & easy to handle. Great, strong hooves -- barefoot all his life! Sadly, bad economy forces sale. Reduced to $2000 for Christmas or Hanukkah sale! Price negotiable to good home. Serious inquiries only. No solicting. Call (203) 421-4232 or email for more photos and appointment. Fun Loving Trail Partner Available to Good Home

Astro is a 1998 registered Morgan gelding, 15.3 hands. Barefoot for 2.5  years.  Owned by a Certified Natural Hoof Care Practitioner.  Can be ridden without boots on softer ground, needs boots for rocky ground.  Comes with a pair of Easyboot Epics.  Astro's training includes classical dressage, but is happier working outside the arena.  Ridden in a snaffle and also goes well in a Dr. Cook bitless bridle.  He is sensitive to the aids and is a forward moving horse.  Primarily ridden on the trails in a treeless dressage saddle, not trained in neck reining/western riding.  He has been trained to drive, but not has not been driven in several years.   Astro has a lot of presence and bonds well with his owner.  Will stand at the gate waiting for you.  Gets along great with other horses, he is not dominant in a herd. Does best dry-lotted with free-choice grass hay and mineral supplementation, if needed.  Is not insulin resistant, but is a Morgan.  He had one minor laminitis episode as a young horse, due to running a high fever and being treated with SMZ.  Suited best to an intermediate rider who will keep him barefoot. Price is $2,000, and is very negotiable to the right home.
