For the U.S., trimmers are listed by general regions of the country. You can specify which region you want to be listed under (and more than one, if you are in one of those in-between states!)

All methods & styles are represented here. This page provides a list of professional barefoot trimmers, including farriers, hoofcare professionals, natural hoof care providers, hoof grooms, trimmers, holistic hoofcare practitioners, and any other title that describes this profession. ALL methods, styles, and schools of thought welcome, the only stipulation is that you are able to provide barefoot trimming services to customers. The Horse's Hoof, as a generic barefoot resource, provides this as a public service, and not as an endorsement of any trimmer or method listed. Please be honest in your listing and do not misrepresent yourself or your qualifications. I rely on information provided to me, and have not verified any qualifications. If an organization complains that someone is making a qualification claim that is not true, I will happily assist the trimmer by removing the inaccurate info immediately :) Owners: for more help on choosing a trimmer, please read Help! How do I choose a Natural Hoofcare Professional?

To submit your free listing, just send an email directly to me at editor @ thehorseshoof.com and include this info (or whatever you wish to include): Your name, city, state, country, email address/website, phone number (if desired), and the copy (up to 75 additional words -- if you send more, I will edit it down!) for your free listing. These are not really ads, they are listings, so I want them to appear uniform and I require a name, city and state for that. SPECIAL NOTE: Free Listings will last for a reasonable time period, but please provide updates to keep your info current. Old listings that have not been updated within the past year may be deleted. The date at the end of the listing refers to the last update. Ad highlights and other options are available for a small fee, please contact us for details.

NOTE: Please delete spaces on all email addresses when you paste into your email program. I don't have them set up as "hot-links" because that seems to generate too much spam for all the listed emails!

Natural barefoot trimmer. I have been a practising Natural Trimmer for the past two years, and have been a certified farrier since 1995.  I found the natural trim method in 2003 due to a foundered pony I acquired and it worked miracles for her so I decided to try it on all of mine, and then converted my business to a natural trim instead of shoeing.  I LOVE this method!  It works, it makes sense and everyone is happy. I am accepting additional clients this year for people committed to this way of life for their horses. (05/05)

Four Paso Finos share my digs, ranging in age from 9 to 23 as of this writing (early 2006). We've gone through some founder here a few years back, which helped me develop a protocol that's effective, relatively quick-recovery, and easy to administer; it involves appropriate trimming and strict diet control. I developed the LIM Trim (Less Is More) which evolved into an excellent counter-FFS (Forward Foot Syndrome) trim. I run a barefoot Forum on Yahoo!Groups entitled "barefoothorsecare", and I'm associated with Natural Horse Magazine. (01/06)

Jill Willis, Minnesota & Wisconsin - Phone 952-212-2268 or 952-442-8844 - jillwillis @ earthlink.net - website: www.barefootbliss.org
AANHCP Certified Natural Hoof Care Practitioner in Training. Available throughout Minnesota and some parts of Wisconsin. Proud "parent" of six Arabians, ages 8 to 20 years old, and two Quarab yearlings. I had horses of my own as a child and again as an adult for the past 15 years. Although I have only ridden for pleasure during the past 10 years, I did compete in reining for several years with my now-20-year-old beloved Arabian gelding who holds numerous Regional and US National Championship titles in both amateur and open classes. It was this experience where I first witnessed the highly unnatural lifestyle that many show horses sustain and ultimately led me to the path I am on currently. In addition, I have had a number of babies born at 'home' and understand first-hand how crucial it is for them to not only be properly balanced but also how critical it is for them to have an appropriately patient and gentle trimming experience from the beginning. Equine Hoof & Health Specialist, I offer services in BAREFOOT trimming to create healthy & functional hooves for pleasure & performance horses. I have been trimming since August 2002. Also, over the past 5 years I have seen this method help numerous horses recover from founder, laminitis, navicular, flat feet, under-run heels, club foot, contracted heels, thin walls, thrush & every other chronic so called incurable disease that face our horses. Along with this I apply HOMEOPATHY as part of my work, this has been a life-long thing for me. (44 yrs) Within the last 4 years I have added the support of ESSENTIAL OILS. PROPER NUTRITION & nutritional healing have always been part of the healthy horse idea. DYNAMITE helps with their synergestly balanced products.
In 1990 I was able to see PAT PARELLI & have always applied NATURAL HORSEMANSHIP techniques from all the different methods that are out there now. Since first becoming a horsemen myself in 1989, the horse has been my best teacher especially in understanding the NATURE of him. All these things work very well together to help me help the horse. Education from the research of ALL of the following people: Dr. Strasser, DVM, Dr. Bowker, Professor of anatomy at Michigan State University, James & Yvonne Welz's hoof clinics, Pete Ramey & Jamie Jackson, Homeopathy from my Mom, & oils & nutrition from the horse. I travel approximately 1 hour radius from my home in Valley Center CA, or you can ship in. I also am available for education/info days. (12/07)

I am focusing now on the abrasive trim method (angle grinder/flap disc), as I feel it produces superior results and I am convinced that the horses like the process far better than the conventional way.  I have made a one hour DVD to help trimmers get started using the abrasive method.  I also offer one and two day clinics to teach about barefoot concepts in general (day one) and to trim this new way (abrasive method, day two).  Check my website for upcoming clinic dates and locations.  I also offer private lessons.  Using this method to trim makes it possible for those who are otherwise not able to handle the physical strain of trimming with conventional tools to do a nice job.  The horses appreciate the shorter time it takes to trim as well. Rhiannon Fugatt, N. California area (Chico), Natural Hoof Care provider, 530-343-7190 email: secondhearthoofcare @ yahoo.com
I've been trimming my own horses for several years and have been under private barehoof training internship with Phil Morarre from Soft Touch Natural Hoof Care for eight months now and accepting new clients. I have referrals for anyone if need be there from my clients whose horses I have put thrugh rehab for various hoof lameness issues. I do an abrasive trim using an angle grinder, therefore the first visit or two may take a little longer than a normal trim depending on how easily the horse accepts the sound of the angle grinder. I have experience with treating laminitis, navicular pain, heel contraction, bulb contraction, hoof imbalance. I am willing to travel up to a certain distance without charging a travel fee if there are at least five horses needing to be trimmed in your area. (01/07)

I was trained as a traditional farrier at the Oklahoma Horseshoeing School 1998. In 2001, I attended a Strasser info clinic that changed my life (and my way of trimming!) Although I am not certified by Dr Strasser, I have adapted some of her methods and style of trimming and many horses have been saved and live a fully functional life, and I owe it all to her! I have started an association in Ontario, Canada to protect the natural barefoot trim, the Natures Barefoot Hoofcare Guild Incorporated, and I have opened a rehab centre and trimming school. (01/06)
